It was difficult to find an empty chair in the hall during the first evening meeting, as many had been looking forward to attending this festive event. The evening opened with an encouragement to heed the prophetic word and use the time to focus on salvation. The first chapter of Peter’s second epistle was brought up, where the wonderful promises of the possibility of sharing in the divine nature are so clearly described.
Through speeches, appeals, song and music, the hopeful and powerful message was proclaimed throughout the New Year’s weekend.
– One of the greatest promises is that we can enter into rest in all kinds of circumstances. The more we receive the Word in a living faith that it can transform us, the more light, wisdom and divine nature will emerge in us,

Celebrating the year of action
For many, the year 2023 was a historic milestone, as for the first time in many years it became possible to purchase hotel agreements for those who wish to attend BCC’s conferences. At the same time, “Samvirk UNG” was launched to help young people over the age of 18 to plan for a hotel agreement when they grow up and need it. This has generated a lot of engagement and excitement around the world.
The church in Switzerland, which has led the campaign this half-year, organized a campaign party for the entire assembly on New Year’s Eve. With a colorful opening show, they set the tone for the New Year’s celebration, with both dancing and singing. One of the verses in the song sums up the whole purpose and intention of the commitment Switzerland wants to support:
“Something new happens inside us when we obey Jesus’ commandments.
Day by day, blow by blow, we take hold.
We will bring forth God’s will in the church and in our home.
We are all working towards the goal.”
It’s meaningful to contribute to something you see has an impact
Switzerland’s ‘Work campaign’ will continue into 2024, and they’re looking forward to creating more excitement, fellowship and job satisfaction among young and old alike.
– “We’re looking forward to continuing this campaign, and it’s really great for me to be able to use my time and resources to help young people come to Brunstad,” says Michael Zürcher. He has young people in his family and knows what it means to have something to work towards, a community to belong to and something to look forward to.
– I can’t think of anything more meaningful to contribute to than this, we see what it does to young people to come together at camps and conferences, where they make choices that are important for the rest of their lives.

To make more room for the youth’s New Year’s camp, there will not be a New Year’s conference for everyone from next year. This is probably a little sad for many, but it’s a pleasure to have the good memories from this New Year to look back on.
The last New Year’s Eve conference – a huge range of activities
In addition to the faith-building gatherings in the main hall, there were also a number of activities for all ages throughout the weekend. While the snow was falling outside, it was good to have spacious areas indoors.
