Norwegian video game attracts international attention

Today, Mette Johnsen, art director for the Bible game Gate Zero, was on live TV in the US. The opportunity came on the very day that the team has been working hard for during the past four months; the launch of the crowdfunding campaign on kickstarter.com.

– “The timing was just crazy,” says Mette. – A couple of weeks ago, we were at the NRB convention in Orlando, Florida, to talk about the work we do and make new contacts. The game attracted a lot of attention. While we were there, we received a message from home that a deal we had been working on for a long time had finally been closed. We were invited to speak on the 700 Club Interactive program on CBN.

CBN is a Christian TV channel and the 700 Club Interactive program has one million viewers daily. The time available was Tuesday, June 6 at 10:00 a.m. local time, exactly the same time as the Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign was launched.

Something for the next generation of Christians

– We feel that God is involved and pulling the strings,” Mette continues. – There is a need for a game where young people can connect with the Christian message on a personal level in a completely new and contemporary format.

Program host Ashley Key was impressed with the visuals of the game. She commented that this will make an impact on the next generation of Christians.

Bible games at the Pentecost Festival 2023
In Norway, the Bible game has also received attention at a number of Christian gatherings such as the Melt conference, Get Focused and most recently here at the Norwegian Christian Council’s 2023 Pentecost Festival
