Peter Tischhauser, head of BCC Event, thanked everyone who had contributed throughout the summer.
“I am grateful that I got to work with you for four weeks.” It has been fantastic to feel that we have the same goal – to make Brunstad the world’s best place for our dear friends. Thank you for giving your all, sometimes more than your all. I am happy that everything went so well.

“Doers of the word” as the theme
The theme evening for the youth, “Doers of the word,” was also highlighted during the evening at David’s Grill.
“If only one person has understood it, it has been a success,” said Joe Oomen from BCC Event. “This is what we work for.”

Trond Eriksen reminded everyone of the importance of doing the work with all ones heart:
“Whatever you do, do it with all your heart for the Lord.” You have an inheritance waiting. We cannot use our bodies for anything better.

The numbers from the summer say something about the scope of the work that has been put in:
- Almost 4,500 children got to experience family activities at Brunstad.
- 93 meals were served throughout the summer.
- 73,000 hot dogs were served – in total around 10 kilometers of hot dogs.
- 550,000 lunch boxes were packed by YEP.
- 14,000 hours were worked providing medicine and health.
- 42,000 ice cream products were sold.
Behind every number are people who have planned, facilitated, cleaned up, served, packed, driven, washed, and solved small and large challenges – often far beyond what was expected.
