70 years of conferences at Brunstad

The church has held conferences at Brunstad since 1956. Several generations have renewed their personal faith, built valuable fellowship, and made important decisions for their lives here. We can take a look back in pictures.

For the first 40 years, the facilities at the conference were relatively simple. Nevertheless, Christians from all over Europe, and eventually also from other continents, traveled to the conferences to experience the preaching and the fellowship.

Brunstad quickly established itself as a natural gathering point for the church’s conferences.

For many families, the summer conferences became a fixed tradition.
The selection in the kiosk grew over time—but it has always been well-visited.

Conferences as an arena for church building

When the conferences were broadcast online, one might think that many would watch from home instead of traveling far. But over the last 20-30 years, the conferences have undergone a major development, both in the number of participants, the use of technology in communication, singing and music, and activities for members of all ages.

In 2004, “New Brunstad” was inaugurated with a live broadcast of the hall image to the big screen in the festival square.
In the Maximum store, visitors could buy the most necessary items.
During the 2017 Sisters’ Conference, long tables were set up throughout the amphitheater.

During the coronavirus pandemic, the conferences were heldd online.
The joy was great when the friends could gather again at Brunstad in the summer of 2021.
In 2022, a Jerusalem market from the year 33 was organized during the Easter conference.
Bible study projects and campaigns became an important part of the everyday life of many young people in the church.

Youth from all over the world gather at Brunstad to hear the word of God.
For many, Brunstad is linked to important decisions and good memories.

This week marks the start of the traditional summer conference, which is being held for the 70th consecutive year at Brunstad.
