42,000 ice creams – staff summarize the summer

After an eventful summer at Brunstad, BCC's employees and part-time staff gathered to celebrate a successful completion.

Peter Tischhauser, head of the organizations, thanked everyone who had contributed throughout the summer.

“I am grateful that I got to work with you for four weeks.” It has been fantastic to feel that we have the same goal – that is, to make Brunstad the “best place in the world” for our dear friends. Thank you for giving your all, sometimes more than your all. I am happy that everything went so well.

“Doers of the word” as the theme

The theme evening for the youth, “Doers of the word,” was also highlighted during the evening at the “David’s Grilleri” restaurant.

“When we think about everything we have heard, and if there has been just one person who has decided to enter into a life of discipleship and become a doer of the word, then these events have been a success,” said Joe Oommen from BCC Media. “This is precisely what we are working for.”

Many from the YEP youth program were also involved

Trond Eriksen reminded everyone of the importance of doing the work from the heart:

“Whatever you do, do it with all your heart for the Lord.” You have an inheritance waiting. We cannot use our bodies for anything better.

Applause for everyone who contributed throughout the summer

Statistics from the conferences this summer say something about the scope of the work that has been put in:

  • Almost 4,500 children had experiences together with friends and family
  • 22, 980 participants checked in.
  • Around 73,000 hot dogs were served.
  • Almost 2 kilometers of pennants were hung up.
  • 14,000 hours were put into health and safety.
  • 42,000 ice creams were sold.

Behind every number are people who have planned, facilitated, cleaned up, served, packed, driven, washed, and solved small and large challenges – often far beyond what was expected.

Thanks for this summer!
