Long before BCC was established as a church, Skjulte Skatters Forlag (Hidden Treasures Publications) was founded – way back in January 1912. Johan Oscar Smith and his brother Aksel started the magazine, driven by an inner need to spread the Christian message of sanctification.
Today, Hidden Treasures is published digitally, but with the same purpose. In addition to edifying and educational texts, the publisher is now preparing to convey the message in various formats, including podcasts, music and film.
The focus on online missions is being intensified, and the budget is approximately NOK 55 million per year, divided into two collections. The current affairs program Magasinet (The Magazine) is used to inspire BCC members to contribute to the collections.

We want to emphasize Jesus’ call to following Him and to discipleship,
focus on what this means for a person,
and show how it’s possible to live as a follower of Jesus
in daily practical life.
The purpose of Hidden Treasures
Hidden Treasures Publications will promote and clarify the Christian teachings, values and content that Johan O. Smith represented, and which BCC upholds today. This will be made available in a relevant and inspiring way, to people all over the world.
