What is the donation model?

BCC operates a donation model similar to that of many other churches. Some people call this tithing.

The donation model is the cornerstone of BCC’s finances, and it entails that members over 26 years of age contribute a percentage of their income to the church. The Annual General Meeting in the local church recommends a percentage based on the level of activities they have. It varies from country to country, but the donation model shall not exceed 10% of gross income.

The donation model covers, among other things, costs for local church life, participation and catering at conferences at Brunstad, central initiatives, missionary work, and digital content.

It is voluntary to contribute to the donation model, and members contribute according to their means.
