How does BCC practice baptism?

In BCC, believer’s baptism (adult baptism) is practiced as a conscious act and an expression of a personal decision to follow Jesus Christ. We do not regard baptism as a sacrament that in itself provides salvation, but as an outward testimony that the one who is baptized enters into a covenant of a good conscience with God, as the apostle Peter describes it.

The baptismal act itself takes place by full immersion in water, as a symbol that the old man is buried and a new life arises with Christ. Baptism marks a commitment to a life in discipleship and sanctification, by the power of God’s grace.
