Major advances in digital content

This Easter, there have been several significant advances in spreading the gospel digitally. The Hidden Treasures Foundation is responsible for the development.

During the Easter camp for young people, the premiere of a gripping 90-minute animated film about a young man struggling to find the meaning of life was screened. The film made a big impression on the audience and was shown again to the young people and adults attending the Easter conference.

Missions collection for digital content

Every year, BCC holds two missions collections. The spring missions collection concluded on Saturday, April 4, and the proceeds were earmarked specifically for Hidden Treasures’ digital initiatives.

The result of NOK 32.6 million bodes well for future growth.

Website about sanctification

Over the Easter weekend, Hidden Treasures launched a new website for anyone interested in sanctification: sanctification.org.

The site features content—including films, music, and articles—and is primarily in English.

For example, the article “What does it mean to follow Jesus?” brings out the cost involved and the kind of life one leads as a disciple. Theologically, the content is consistent with the central tenets of Christianity:

“Throughout history, there have been many Christian authors who have written specifically about discipleship. There are so many of these that it makes sense to speak of a ‘tradition of discipleship.'”

The website will feature a number of these authors.

Current topics that spark involvement

These initiatives demonstrate how the gospel can be shared in the digital age. And the response from the Easter events and the strong support shown through the missions collection indicate that everything is in place for even more people to be reached in the time ahead.
