Already from the opening meeting, there is a clear direction for the conference: \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”\u00a0<\/em>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K\u00e5re J. Smith reads this from 2 Corinthians 5:14-15.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We must live for Jesus, and then serve each other according to His will,” Smith exhorts the congregation.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He continues:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Through Jesus Christ, we were reconciled to God. He died for our sins, a tremendous pardon. But that’s not all: Now a deeper reconciliation shall take place in us. His life becomes our life \u2013 we partake of the divine nature. That’s the gospel!”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference highlights the great work Jesus has done for us, and the path He paved for us so that we can follow in His footsteps. The gospel is presented with a breadth and depth that clearly makes a big impression on the congregation. This is expressed through messages and testimonies that are both moving and inspiring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus on the children \u2013 the future generations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Saturday evening is devoted to Magasine<\/i>t (The Magazine<\/i>) \u2013 where vision, information and inspiration are communicated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children open the program with the Noah’s Ark theme song \u2013 a taste of the summer musical to come.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

K\u00e5re J. Smith goes on to speak about the vision he had almost 30 years ago, which has led to the extensive and sound work with children and youth that BCC is known for today. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0“We had to get away from a narrow framework where individuals wanted to decide and become great themselves, instead of seeing what the children need.” It’s about creating an environment where children are met with goodness and warmth \u2013 both at home and in the church.”\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Christianity does not have the same central place as before”<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In BCC, great emphasis is placed on our personal life in following Jesus. This means that both parents and Sunday school workers are encouraged to be role models and live as God’s word teaches us.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Annette Riis Pedersen, who heads the children’s initiative, emphasizes:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

” In today’s society, Christianity does not have the same central place as before. That’s why we, as Sunday school workers and parents, have an extra responsibility to communicate the Bible’s stories and messages to children.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspiration and faith in the future<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Later in the evening, we get to hear about an exciting project to develop music in the churches. And the young people are encouraged to invest in Samvirk UNG \u2013 an initiative that provides opportunities for the future, for all those who want to come to the church’s conferences in the future.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the thousands of participants pour out into the summer evening and continue the fellowship with good conversations, and the children recharge for tomorrow’s many activities, the song No, never alone<\/i> resounds from the stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
