At meetings and gatherings, the songbook \u201cWays of the Lord\u201d is mainly used. There was singing from the church\u2019s own song repertoire, as well as well-known gospel hymns such as \u201cOh happy day\u201d and \u201cThe Saints.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the evening, presenter H\u00e5kon Pedersen highlighted how the songs in the songbook \u201cWays of the Lord\u201d have had a special significance for the church\u2019s mission and edification, and how they are still an important tool for this today.<em>.  <\/em>The audience heard the story behind several of the songs, which were written by people who have had their hope in God\u2019s commandments and promises, and a personal longing for the life Jesus invites us to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cFor me, the history of the songs adds a new dimension to the message,\u201d said H\u00e5kon. \u201cMany of these were God-fearing people who wanted to do something for God and the gospel.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-2 is-layout-flex wp-block-gallery-is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"83015\" src=\"https:\/\/bcc.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/DSC6949-1024x682.png\" alt=\"H\u00e5kon Pedersen led the evening\u2019s program.\" class=\"wp-image-83015\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">H\u00e5kon Pedersen led the evening\u2019s program.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-id=\"83008\" src=\"https:\/\/bcc.no\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/DSC7001-1024x682.png\" alt=\"On stage, fellow believers from England, Poland, Germany and Norway contributed.\" class=\"wp-image-83008\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>On stage, fellow believers from England, Poland, Germany and Norway contributed.<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Michelle Bertelsen (23) was one of those who contributed with her singing gifts this evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen I sing, I often have to familiarize myself with the song beforehand. It\u2019s incredibly rewarding, as the songs often take on a new and personal meaning for me,\u201d she says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEven though the song was written over 100 years ago, I personally think the message fits perfectly for today. The gospel has no expiration date; it\u2019s evident in the power and hope that the songs give. The songs testify that the gospel is the same then and now.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This weekend\u2019s themed event is next<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The mission feast that the local church BCC Eiker had prepared was the big event on Saturday, and the evening carried high expectations. The theme of the feast was \u201cHave faith in God,\u201d with a focus on missions. More about this feast will be published here on the website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The conferences \u2013 a valuable tradition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For several generations, the conferences at Brunstad have brought together people of faith from all over the world. Individuals have made significant choices regarding their faith here, and have been stirred by a life of following Jesus.
