We do not regard baptism as a sacrament that in itself provides salvation, but as an outward testimony that the one who is baptized enters into a covenant of a good conscience with God, as the apostle Peter describes it. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The baptismal act itself takes place by full immersion in water, as a symbol that the old man is buried and a new life arises with Christ.
