This is because the Norwegian Foundation Authority has approved the application to demerge the Brunstad Foundation and spin off the commercial activities at Brunstad into a separate foundation. With purely Christian objectives, the Brunstad Foundation can now apply for a merger with BCC Fund, which is a joint initiative of the BCC Federation. Most of the capital that has been built up over many years is still in the Brunstad Foundation and will be managed in line with the objectives. There is currently no time frame for when such a merger will be implemented.
This demerger does not entail any practical change for BCC members. The church’s use of Brunstad during all conferences and youth camps will be regulated through long-term rental agreements between BCC Event and Oslofjord. Members who physically participate in the church’s events have an accommodation agreement via Samvirk.
