New Year`s weekend—once again time for an international conference at Oslofjord Convention Center. 7,500 members from 29 countries participated in the conference, which consisted of 2 days of upbuilding meetings, information, and bringing in the New Year with fireworks and festivities.
What happens when over 80 of BCC’s local churches get involved and deliver with new ideas? One could say, a sea of possibilities, and not entirely without criticism of the current execution of BCC’s international conferences and events.
BCC is a constantly growing and changing organization. This fall, around 85 local churches have been involved in a comprehensive idea workshop with the goal of producing new suggestions for BCC´s conferences in the future. We spoke with the woman whose job is to ensure order in the creative chaos.
Around 3,500 BCC members gathered on November 17th for this year´s eighth international conference at Oslofjord Convention Center in Vestfold. The weekend´s target audience was slightly more grownup, and attendees enjoyed a varied and memorable schedule.

The major expansion of Oslofjord Convention Center has not gone unnoticed, and the fact that hundreds of BCC members have put their names on future suite leasing contracts is no secret. Occasionally, one hears allegations that the church mixes business and religion at Brunstad, but despise that, we meet a family who is more than willing to invest in the future here.
During the summer’s international conferences, bus trips were arranged to the Naval Museum at Karljohansvern and to Johan Oscar Smith’s grave in Horten. Informative guides made the trip instructive and inspiring for all those who took part.
