The conferences this summer were full of wonderful moments, with almost 15,000 BCC-members from 40 countries coming together at Brunstad. The local church in Maubach, Germany, put together a slideshow of photos taken during the conference in August. This slideshow was also shown at the closing event last Saturday.
This was the curtain for the International YEP gathering at Oslofjord Convention Center in Vestfold, when youth from all over the world assembled to an activities weekend. With Brunstad Bible School as host, 450 young people were congregated to a feast, team tasks and fellowship.
Tonight, the gathering starts with a quick search on Google being shown on the big screen in the meeting hall. What comes up when you search for “ «Shepherd Ministry »? A couple of clicks – and the first two hits are from the book «Shepherd and Prophet » by Kåre J. Smith. But what actually is a «Shepherd Ministry»?
The team behind Easter Camp 2017 are really getting going with preparation of the welcome to more than 3000 participants, prior to the spring’s great youth event starting up on Saturday.
In the final analysis, the answer is surely «no». Or, there again «yes», for you have to have enough money for the bare necessities of life. Beyond that, you can of course live a happy life as a poor Christian man or woman.
December is the time of good traditions and celebrations of the great Christmas festival. Last weekend everything was made ready for the Christmas feast, where all those BCC members who wanted a dose of Christmas spirit, were invited to a night out with banquet and concert.
“O little one, be welcome here!” The atmosphere in the hall is solemn as this year’s newcomers are brought up in front of the church by their proud parents.
Although we get older, there are many opportunities to be both active and social. Recently more than 40 seniors went on a trip to the mountains in Hallingdal, Norway. Activities and good conversation were part of the program.
«Help you’ve received, so help those in need! » reverberates around the hall where over sixty women and men from Austria sing with all their hearts from the stage in Congress Schladming, and it is precisely in this way that this missionary feast was such inspiration – stretch out a hand and help others!
The end of the series was marked by a match day at the Stokke pitches for all the football players in the Oslofjord League, combined with a tremendous football banquet in the evening.
